On April 24, 2022, the Blackhawks honored legendary broadcaster Pat Foley’s 39-year career with "Pat Foley Night," a celebration filled with nostalgia and appreciation for his contributions to the team.
The event featured a full digital and in-arena takeover, including pre-game photo ops, giveaways, a limited-edition "Hawks Win!" t-shirt, and digital content showcasing highlights from nearly four decades of Foley’s career. The art direction drew inspiration from vintage newspaper clippings chronicling Pat’s journey, incorporating black-and-white photography, historic headlines, and quotes like “An Artist With Words” into a nostalgic collage design.
The evening began with an opening ceremony featuring Foley’s family and friends, followed by in-game features spotlighting his career highlights. The night concluded with a heartfelt post-game “Cheers to 39 Years” toast from fans in attendance, leaving a lasting impression of Foley’s impact on the Blackhawks community.
