To honor iconic Black athletes during Black History Month in 2021, I designed a series of trading cards inspired by vintage sports periodicals.
The cards featured black-and-white cut-out photography, bold “BHM” lettering, and biographical details about each athlete. This cohesive design created a nostalgic feel, unifying the collection and evoking a timeless, “all-from-the-same-era” aesthetic.
